Right under the Piazza Tasso, in the heart of Sorrento, a beautiful view down the valley, called "Valle dei Mollini" (Mill Valley) (Il Vallone dei Mulini).From where was once a bridge called "Ponte dei Mollini," and you can see the canyon, where you can still find remnants of old buildings, but they are now covered with abundant vegetation. In the Middle Ages, this valley was of great importance for the performance of the city, as it was occupied by mills for grain and corn, and a sawmill was also located here. Sorrento artisans use exactly this here timber for their traditional products. Today, from the buildings in the valley were only relics, since the construction of the modern city of the valley turned gorge in Wetlands.
